MATCH PLAY PAIRS BEST-BALL 2010 TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS Players must have a license from the RFEG or Federación Canaria de Golf. Match-Play Couples Best Ball (Fourball) Medal Play Handicap 18 hoyos with ¾ of the handicap – the couples can ask for their opponents handicaps at the Pro-Shop or check it at the Golf Federation website, www.golfspain.com Handicap for Play: Once the slope has been applied and the handicap of each player has been adjusted, the player with the lowest handicap plays from 0 points, and he gives the other three players ¾ of the difference. The points are to be given in the appropriate holes, according to the handicaps of the course (“Baremo Local de Hándicap”) Schedules & Dates: Couples opponents within the first 7 days of the published phase for the game must submit in writing to the golf course the date and time agreed for the match. If not received a date for the game within the mentioned period, or failure to reach an agreement date between partners game opponents, Salinas Golf will proceed to determine a date by drawing, among those proposed by each couple. As soon as a couple delivered a proposed date, the other couple is compelled to answer. This date would be communicated to both couples through e-mail and / or phone call. Salinas Golf reserves the right to understand that communication has been received by the players. The parties have to play on the date and time set and within the published deadlines. No Shows: In case of no-show of any of the couples the date and time agreed, will be disqualified. The couple who were present at the appointed hour will sign the card and submit it in the pro-shop, after which it will have won the game. It is recalled that a single player may constitute a couple. Deadlines: 1st Round To play before 15/06. (Must present proposal of day and hour of play before 23/05/2010). 2nd Round To play before 15/07. (Must present proposal of day and hour of play before 23/06/2010). 3rd Round To play before 15/08. (Must present proposal of day and hour of play before 23/07/2010). 4th Round To play before 15/09. (Must present proposal of day and hour of play before 23/08/2010). Final To play before 02/10. (Must present proposal of day and hour of play before 19/09/2010). Tees-offs: Gentleman – White marks. Ladies – Blue marks. Rules: Each player of each couple, plays with their own ball, and counts the best net result in each hole. The winning couple of the hole is the one with the lowest net result. The winning couple of the match is the one that wins the most holes in the specified round. The tournaments will be played in accordance with the rules of golf, the local RFEG and what the club determines depending on the circumstances. Handicap is limited up to 26.4 for gentlemen and 30.4 for ladies. A couple may be represented by one partner for all or any part of a match; all partners need not be present. An absent partner may join a match between holes, but not during play of a hole. In case of having a tie at the end of the 18 holes; couples will keep playing from tee number 1 until one team wins a hole. Inscriptions & Green Fees: Inscription 50€ Special green-fee for visitors 35 €; or other applicable for residents or federados in effect by that time. In the final phase will be paid only the first game. Green fee for Members 0€ Inscription Deadline 21/05/2010 Limitations: Tournament limited to 32 COUPLES – if there are not 32 COUPLES, limited to 24 COUPLES - if there are not 24 COUPLES limited a 16 COUPLES. Draw: The pair off draw will take place at the Club House on Saturday May 22nd right after the prize giving of the Torneo Apertura Ranking. Prizes: The Prizes will be given on October 2nd along with the Ranking Prizes right after the Torneo Clausura Ranking. Memberships are personal and non transferable. In the case of an existing member winning a prize, his/her membership will be extended by the number of months of the prize they have won. In case of non-members, the subscription will be activated achieved the day after the awards. Committee of competition: The Competition Committee will make decisions on any problems that may arise. IN CASE OF A DISPUTE, THE COMMITTEE’S DECISION WILL BE DEFINITIVE. Fuerteventura, 16th March 2010
